Yes, you can store the glass insert in the freezer to super chill your beverage. As it is glass, we recommend you do not store it in your freezer door or somewhere in the freezer where it will get bumped by other items or jostled. 

Also, we do not recommend putting the vacuum insulated steel base in the freezer as damage to the vacuum insulation may occur.
