What can I do if my Wood Fiber Cutting Board warps?Updated 3 hours ago

Minor warping may occur from time to time. Because the Wood Fiber Cutting Board made from natural materials, some movement of the board in and of itself is normal. In most cases, warping may either self-correct or most likely will be able to be remedied by “counter warping.”

Important: we recommend your Wood Fiber Cutting Board be stored on its side (versus flat on a surface) to dry.

Warp

Warping may happen if a board is stored flat after becoming wet and both surfaces are not allowed to dry evenly.

If the board is stored flat, moisture (usually residual water left from washing in the sink or dishwasher) becomes trapped underneath, and as the moisture tries to escape, it causes the board to warp. Even the smallest amount of moisture may cause the board to warp.

Counter-Warp

To "counter warp" a cutting board: Wash your Woof Fiber Cutting Board, leaving a bit of moisture on the board. Next, dampen a paper towel and lay it on your countertop. Lay the board the “convex” way down or with corners touching the paper towel (like a rainbow). Adding a bit of weight on top of your board, such as a book, should further aid in counter-warping.

Give the board a day to dry thoroughly. After that, your cutting board should be leveled out.
